City Hall Hit with Swastikas

Five Spray-Painted on Outside Walls

Some time last Thursday night, five swastika symbols were graffitied on City Hall along with the word “racism.” The vandalism was discovered Friday morning, said police spokesperson Lt. Paul McCaffrey, and quickly painted over. No suspects have been identified.

Though the exact motivation behind the graffiti is unknown, some speculate it has to do with the announcement made a few days earlier of a citywide gang injunction.
