Kids Carnival At Isla Vista Elementary School Co-Hosted by Inter-Greek Council

The Inter-Greek Council, a student organization at UC Santa Barbara, is co-hosting its third annual Kids Carnival at Isla Vista Elementary School on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 3:00-6:00pm. The event is part of Greek Week, a week of programming and events that raise money for Isla Vista Elementary School’s Science Camp Scholarship Fund. The carnival is co-sponsored by the Inter-Greek Council, Isla Vista Elementary School PTA and ASES.

In past years, the carnival has boasted over two hundred Greek-affiliated student volunteers, staff from Isla Vista Elementary, and children and families from the local community. This year’s event has expanded to thirty carnival booths, including traditional carnival-style activity stations, food sales, and contests. The event is open to the local community, families and staff at Isla Vista Elementary School, and the UCSB campus community.

In addition, the Inter-Greek Council will be sponsoring a fundraiser at Sam’s To Go in Isla Vista on Wednesday, March 2 from 3:00-7:00pm. The local community is invited to come out for an afternoon of fun! All proceeds from Greek Week activities will be going to the Isla Vista Elementary School Science Camp Scholarship Fund.
