County Animal Services Extends Discount Adoption Program; Center for Successful Aging Seeks Volunteers


• From now until Monday, April 4, S.B. County Animal Services, in partnerships with local shelters, is extending its “March Madness” discount program on adoptable dogs and cats in shelters in the area. Adopters will receive $5 off cats and $10 off dogs who have been at shelters for more than 60 days, plus additional discounts for animals with longer residencies. • The Center for Successful Aging is hosting an eight-week Senior Peer Counselor Training session beginning this Monday, April 4, from 4-6 p.m. The program aims to train caring and compassionate adults to serve and make a difference in the lives of other seniors. Call 963-8080 for more info.
