Former SBCC President Appointed to Board of Governors

Former Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) president Peter MacDougall was appointed this week to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors. A 17-member board, the governors set policy and provide guidance for the 112 community colleges in the state. Appointed by Governor Jerry Brown, MacDougall, who was at the helm of SBCC from 1981 through 2002, must have his appointment approved by the state Senate.
