Chumash Donate $90,000

Last week, the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians presented three area organizations with checks for $30,000 each. The donations were the proceeds of the 7th Annual Chumash Charity Golf Classic Tournament held in August at the Alisal River Course. The beneficiaries were: Friends of the Library of Santa Ynez Valley, the Solvang Senior Center, and the Buellton Senior Center. The popular golf tournament has generated more than $650,000 in the last seven years.
