Iranian-American Singer/Songwriter Presents From Texas to Tehran at UCSB’s MultiCultural Center this week

Drink in a cup of musical culture during From Texas to Tehran: An Evening of Modern Classical Persian Music. The performance – scheduled for this Friday, October 21, at UCSB’s MultiCultural Center – features a live performance by Iranian-American singer/songwriter Fared Shafinury, who has studied under some of Iran’s most prominent musical masters. The concert begins at 8 p.m.; tickets are $15 ($5 for UCSB students). Call 893-2064 for more info.
