The Santa Barbara International Film Festival recently announced the departure of Director of Programming Candace Schermerhorn, who will be leaving her post to produce an upcoming documentary film. Taking on the position will be Michael Albright.


On September 1, the Lobero Theatre became Santa Barbara’s first green theater. The venue was recognized by the City of Santa Barbara’s Environmental Services for its new composting and recycling programs. The Lobero also plans to install solar panels in the near future.
