Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe Welcomes Executive Chef Chris Joslyn

Sam and Shawnda Marmorstein, owners of the Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Café, are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Joslyn as their new Executive Chef.

Joslyn is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and most recently was Chef at LB Steak in San Jose. Previously, he worked at the Left Bank Brasserie and the famed four-star restaurant La Folie, under French Master Chef Roland Passot. In his limited time he can be found in his home kitchen creating new dishes for his wife Jessica, tending his garden, fishing or foraging for wild mushrooms.

“We are thrilled to have Chris join our dynamic team at the Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Café,” remarked Sam Marmorstein, “He has rapidly embraced our commitment to serving up the best flavors California’s Central Coast.”

On Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 3:00-6:00pm, the Marmorstein’s invite the public to experience Chef Chris’s food paired with Bernat wines at the CCOF (Certified Organic) Bernat Family Vineyard in Los Olivos. Chef Chris will prepare light fare (much of it from the organic farm on the property) as well as offer a cooking demonstration in the vineyard. The event is limited to the first 15 paid guests at $50 per person. Call 805-688-7265 or matthew@buysantabarbarawine.com
