Santa Barbara County, in a national ranking by the Robert Wood Johnson and University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, has above average health compared to other California counties. S.B. placed 19th out of 56 counties in the “current health of the community” and 15th in health factors that will impact health in the future. (Two California counties didn’t participate.)
