Whole Foods Donates 5% to Art From Scrap

Earth Day Weekend Kick Off

On Thursday, April 19th, Whole Foods Market will generously donate 5% of its net sales to Art From Scrap.

Shop on April 19th, anytime between 8:00 am to 10:00 pm at Whole Foods Santa Barbara and 5% of your purchase will directly support Art From Scrap’s environmental education and art programs.

Whole Foods holds Community Giving Days, or 5% Days, twice a year; when 5% of the store’s net proceeds are donated to a local nonprofit. April 19th’s 5% Day is a great way to celebrate Earth Day, buy wholesome nutritious food, and donate to Art From Scrap, Santa Barbara’s Environmental Education and Art Center.

Art From Scrap (AFS) will have an informational table outside the entrance of Whole Foods on the 19th from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Stop by to speak with AFS environmental educators and learn about AFS programs and how your actions affect the environment.

Art From Scrap impacts the community in so many ways; whether it’s teaching schoolchildren about healthy creeks, offering weekly art workshops using reuse materials, or holding monthly beach clean ups at the Watershed Resource Center… Art From Scrap celebrates Earth Day every day!

Thanks for your support on Thursday, April 19th and Happy Earth Day.
