Sinkhole Keeps Highway 192 Closed

Highway 192 will be closed until mid August due to a three-foot-wide sinkhole that developed on 7/25 at the intersection with Westmont Road. During the closure, drivers can take a detour along Sycamore Canyon Road, Alameda Padre Serra, and Barker Pass Road; the California Highway Patrol is helping mediate any traffic. In addition to fixing the sinkhole, construction crews will be checking underground utilities and replacing a ruined drainage culvert.
