San Marcos High School Marching Band and Color Guard Win Gold

The San Marcos High School marching band and color guard brought home a gold medal from the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association state championship in Riverside this past weekend. With the smallest band in the competition and a modest seeding, the Royals were an unlikely victor. “This win is one of the most amazing accomplishments the marching band and color guard have ever achieved, and I have never been more proud to be working as San Marcos’s band director,” said Michael Kiyoi.
