The trial of Adrian Robles — accused of stabbing and killing Robert Simpson near Hendry’s Beach in April 2010 — is coming to a close. Prosecutor Hilary Dozer is expected to wrap his case up this week, and the defense isn’t expected to call many witnesses. On 12/10, a gang expert with the Sheriff’s Department explained to jurors the mind-set of gang members, telling them that if the facts unfolded as Dozer has suggested, the crime was done to benefit the Westside gang. The expert also explained to the jury the significance of Robles’s many tattoos.
