I want to thank Rep. Lois Capps for signing on to Rep. Ed Markey‘s letter asking that continued spending on nuclear arms be considered among weapons budgetary cuts to avoid the “fiscal cliff.”
With all the things in our country that are in need of attention and support, adding to or replacing our most devastating and universally dangerous weapons of mass destruction seems like the last place to spend money at this time.
Thank you for all you’re doing to make our nation and world a better and healthier place to live.

"But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids."

Thanks for the retrospective humor SD; a prediction of the future that has been repeatedly and increasingly become true for each of our political regimes.
I'm still chuckling about Lois Capps being effective at anything; a fact perhaps more comical than Dr. Strangelove...
