The A.S. Coastal Fund’s mission is to integrate UCSB students with the environment in order to protect our local coast through preservation, education, open access, research, and restoration. Plastic pollution has become one of the hottest coastal issues of our time, and we want to see how UCSB students relate to this issue. Join the Coastal Fund in our mission to integrate UCSB students with the environment by showing us how you SEA plastic. Not just sunsets, be creative!

Please submit one photo, as well as a brief 2 to 3 sentence summary of what you are trying to capture, to the Coastal Fund. The summary must include a description of the location your photograph was taken. E-mail all submissions by March 16th at midnight for a chance to win a collection of awesome ECO-prizes. The winning photo will be featured on Coastal Fund’s website, brochures and merchandise. Please e-mail your photo submissions to CoastalFundoutreach@gmail.com.

The Coastal Fund board will judge the photos based on creativity and relevance to the theme. The finalists will be announced by April 2, 2012 and displayed in the UCEN.

If you have any questions regarding the contest, please contact Erica Aguilera or Alyssa Hall at Coastalfundoutreach@gmail.com
