Woman Hit on the Highway

Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Early Morning Incident


A young woman was hit by a car this morning in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near the Fairview Avenue on-ramp. According to a spokesperson with the Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. The woman was rushed to Cottage Hospital in critical condition. Her status is unknown at this point, but the CHP initially put out the call as a “possible fatality.” The woman’s identity is being withheld as the accident is investigated, said the spokesperson.
