James “Bud” Bottoms is many things: environmental activist, sculptor — most famously of the dolphin fountain that marks the base of Stearns Wharf — and author. Join him at Chaucer’s Books (3321 State St.) this Sunday, January 8, at 2 p.m., when he will sign his children’s books, including his latest, Grandmother Mountain.
