Downtown Organization Doles Out Annual Awards


During its annual luncheon and awards ceremony last week, the Downtown Organization presented Joanne Funari — a founding member and the current president of Business First National Bank, as well as last year’s Old Spanish Days-Fiesta La Presidenta — with its 2011 Citizen of the Year Award. Dos Pueblos High School senior Anna Luisa “Annie” Marroquin was given the Harriet Miller Youth Leadership Award, and Roger Durling of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival took home the George Gerth Volunteer of the Year Award.
