A Santa Barbara jury found Tony Denunzio — the man involved in a serious physical altercation with police officer Aaron Tudor outside Gelson’s Market in October — guilty of battery upon his girlfriend’s son. The jury found him not guilty of domestic violence on his girlfriend and split on a charge of battery on his own son. The charges all stemmed from the same incident, which took place prior to his alleged DUI and the confrontation with Tudor. Denunzio is facing a DUI charge in that case, though the District Attorney didn’t filed charges for resisting arrest, nor charges against the officer for excessive force. That case has been moved to North County because of media publicity.

The headline says guilty of battery on his girlfriend, but the article states guilty of battery on his girlfriend's son, and not guilty of domestic violence on his girlfriend.
Am I the only one confused here?
Anyway, what a piece of work this guy is!!

Tony has already been through hell. The headline is a terrible editorial mistake! You should fix it and apologize.

No sympathy for this guy, even if the headline is misleading. He is bringing this on himself and his family because of his alcoholic behavior.

The above comments are correct: The original headline was wrong, and we've made a correction. Sorry for the mistake.

"the man involved in a serious physical altercation with police officer Aaron Tudor"
That's one way to describe having the crap beat out of him (and it wasn't just Tudor). The writing makes it seem, and seems intended to make it seem, as if Denunzio has a pattern of violence, when one of the cases was violence on him, not by him. (None of which is to in any way defend the violence he DID commit, just a point about the incompetent and unethical reporting.)

This is all a bit confusing. All I know is that if a boyfriend of mine touched one of my sons, I'd kick his a** to the curb, then call 911, get a restraining order and a weapon. Oh, and first I'd let loose my two powerful sons loose on him. If he were an alcoholic, there would be no relationship in the first place. Just common sense.

This guy's a real piece of cowardly work. I would love to teach him some proper parental manners, mano a mano, one real dad to a moron who should have his procreation license permanently revoked.
Throw the book at this idiot.
