S.B.’s lucky to play host to migrating butterflies, which like to layover here on their way to Mexico. If you want to snag some intel on — as well as get up close and personal with — the winged beauties, make your way to the S.B. Museum of Natural History (2559 Puesta del Sol Rd.) this Sunday, January 29, for the Monarchs of Winter, where you’ll plant the beginnings of your own butterfly garden, learn cool facts about regional species, create butterfly wings, and then carpool to the Ellwood Monarch Grove to see the real thing.
