Eyebrows’ main purpose may be functional — conveying nonverbal communication and keeping the wee flotsam and jetsam swirling in the air from landing in your eyeball — but the aesthetic of a person’s brow is just as crucial. According to eyebrow guru Anastasia Soare, that is. “Most people do not realize it, but the human eye constantly seeks out balance and symmetry when assessing beauty,” Soare states on her website. “Having properly shaped eyebrows adds this balance to the face.” A beauty industry icon, Soare has tweezed the brows of many stars, including Oprah Winfrey, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Penélope Cruz. Santa Barbarans have the opportunity to meet the master when Soare makes an appearance at her eyebrow clinic Saturday, July 28, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., at Nordstrom (17 W. Canon Perdido St.). “Most people do not realize it, but the human eye constantly seeks out balance and symmetry when assessing beauty,”
-- Anastasia Soare
What a load of ...., well, nonsense, to keep within the Indy's comment guidelines. The eye does no such thing, it is the brain that processes the electromagnetic radiation that the human eyeball can detect. Balance, symmetry and beauty are cultural abstracts that have absolutely nothing to do with one's eyebrows.
Well done, Indy. You've laid another woo egg.
