Head of Former County Department Leaving

Sharon Friedrichsen, the head of what was formerly the Housing and Community Development department and now an assistant director in the Community Services Department, “will separate from County service” on 8/3, according to County HR Director Jeri Muth. Friedrichsen — one of many HCD directors under whose watch the Lompoc Housing and Community Development Corp. faltered — was the department’s seventh leader in seven years, before HCD came under the umbrella of a new, consolidated department. Dinah Lockhart, the community development project manager for the City of Lompoc, has been hired to fill the position.
