War is stupid in colossal dimensions. It enriches a very few and impoverishes multitudes. The bombing of non-military people, blowing off limbs and heads of little children is so anti-Christ, so inhuman that the poverty of deep sorrow rings in every decent heart. The vast amounts spent on death and destruction could readily make human society pleasant for everyone.
Yet we let false leaders manipulate our minds and justify spilling the blood and guts of babies. They talk us into leaving countless mothers wailing in desperate sadness. Are we so stupid?
We could be happy. It demands rational thought and love in our hearts. What is better, the sound of music and laughter or the horrific cries of children in pain?
Is humanity mad, insane? I say no! It is a very few so clever in their evil ways that they can sway otherwise decent people. It is time to demand no more dead young soldiers, no more dead and maimed children, no more false heroes. Let us use our resources to make a simple, healthy, loving human world.

Hate to rain on your parade of Rant but WAR is the maker of advancement and without it, our and other Governments could never motivate their people to become action-oriented to change. It's true, lives are lost, people are tramatized and general upheaval abounds but technology only really advances through War. Case-in-point, air travel, long range bombers = long range commercial flights, medical break-throughs in Field Surgery surgical break throughs in operations. Better Bullet resistance equipment for Law Enforcement and Military while in armed conflicts.
War is a necessary evil to advance technology and hide the facts from the people of the Country by the Governments, it will always be used either as a precurser to peace or in place of peace.

Ken: What planet do you live on?
Right now at this moment there is a dude beating his kid in some far off land who will grow up to be a bad person with bad intentions and, coupled with a high IQ, will invent a better way to dispatch those that disagree in horrific ways. Something tells me that there will continue to be brave men and women (with nothing but love in their hearts...) of your US Military who will voluntarily deploy to said far off land prepared to do violence on your behalf for a just cause to make peace out of chaos. That, Mr. Cohen, is the real world...

Mr. Cohen, while I basically agree with you, putting emphasis on children--while being politically correct and a good way to tug on the emotions of people--actually defeats your purpose.
Whether you're an adult or child, being shot, maimed, burned, or losing your loved one hurts, and by focusing only on children we desensitize ourselves to the suffering of others.

P.S. While I do not assume your political leanings, I find it interesting that almost all the anti-war people support Obama/The Democratic machine who are very pro-war.
