Ty Warner Sea Center’s World Oceans Day Event

Come celebrate World Oceans Day at the Ty Warner Sea Center where the Environmental Defense Center (EDC), along with the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, will debut a Public Service Announcement in efforts to raise awareness about ocean acidification (OA) and highlight how OA affects sea life, businesses, and the entire food web.

Learn about how our community is partnering to address OA and what you can do to help protect the oceans from OA.

At the Dr. Seuss-inspired event guests will also learn about the importance of ocean conservation with a speech from Congresswoman Lois Capps (12:10 pm), engage in activities and games, come face to face with marine wildlife, and meet conservation experts from the Santa Barbara Channelkeeper and Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.

EDC joins the Ty Warner Sea Center, many aquariums, museums, and conservation organizations across the globe in efforts to raise awareness about ocean conservation for World Oceans Day.

Hosted by the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History’s Ty Warner Sea Center.
