Dos Pueblos Robot Wins Major Competition

Despite a rough start to her first day of competition, Lindsay Rose-Bot ultimately clinched the Los Angeles FIRST Robotics Regional Competition and earned her makers — Dos Pueblos High School’s Engineering Academy, called Team 1717 or D’Penguineers — a trip to the upcoming world championships in St. Louis, Missouri. The 120-pound Lindsay Rose-Bot battled 67 other bots in balancing on narrow beams and lobbing balls through hoops.
