For the past five years, St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley has hosted a fair for the public. The event, known as May Faire, not only “celebrates the spring season” but is also a fundraiser for the church’s preschool. This year’s event includes a traditional Maypole dance, crafts, games, a kids’ bounce house, a bazaar, and live music performed by the Santa Ynez Valley Chorale, with violin players from the Solvang Conservatory, and the classic rock band Bone Dog. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including wine from Coghlan Vineyard and beer from Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company. The fair takes place 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley (2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos). For more information, call (805) 688-1815 or visit smitv.org.
