Free Financial Literacy Training for Teachers

SBCC Dual Enrollment is sponsoring a one-day financial literacy teacher training next Tuesday, May 15, from 9 to 6pm.

They have several spaces available and are opening it up to interested teachers, substitutes, and after school program volunteers.

The training will revolve around a curriculum called The Money Game, which is going to be used in the “Freshmen Seminar” classes at our local public high schools.

While the training was originally set up for these teachers, the program is also appropriate for grades 5 through 12 and is easily modified for integration into your standing curriculum. It is also appropriate for a half-day or full-day “fun” day at the end of the year as well as an after school on-going program.

The training is FREE of charge. High school teachers MAY qualify for a paid substitute.

If you are interested, know someone who might be interested, or have any questions at all, please call Jan Ruskin at 957-1024.
