A missing person report has been issued for Craig Rudholm, a 48-year-old Santa Barbara Junior High School special education teacher who went missing a week ago.
“There is no indication of foul play at this time, and Rudholm appears to be voluntarily missing,” said a police spokesperson in a prepared statement. “Anyone with information of Mr. Rudholm’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Santa Barbara Police Department at (805) 897-2355,” he said.
Rudholm, one of four full-time special education teachers at S.B. Junior High, was last seen on Saturday, October 27, and didn't show up for work all week. Principal Lito Garcia issued a statement to parents this Friday. “We do not know where he is, and because we want to make sure he is safe, we have notified the S.B. Police Department to help locate him,” he wrote. “A substitute teacher is in place. Additionally, the administration, counselors, and our staff will continue to ensure that Mr. Rudholm’s students are provided a rigorous, relevant, and appropriate education.”
