Real Americans

President Obama, thank you for your efforts in the first four years, though there are those of us who would rather that you had arrested the Bush and Cheney crowd, charged them with war crimes, and stripped their pensions and Secret Service protection while taking one small step toward reducing the deficit. After 248 filibusters, the Republicans are now going to come to the negotiating table and demand concessions. Mr. President, they made their bed, now let them sleep in it. They associate your name with socialism while they march lockstep with Norquist and his anti-tax pledge. The middle class knows how to sacrifice for their entitlements and freedom. How do the rich pay for their wars?

These Big Money politicians have got to go. Germany produces half the world’s solar power and half of its electric grid is powered by solar. Big Money talks about energy independence while Germany is doing it. You’re trying to do the right thing and all the real Americans (Republicans, Democrats, Independents, et al) are with you. I see the biggest problem facing you is the industrial military complex. The threats to its “entitlements” while the military budget is cut will be intense.

Good luck and thanks again for what appears to be a thankless job. Man, that was a tough campaign. That new age snake salesman and his team at Fox are not what America is about.
