As I write this, I’m in Grand Junction, Colorado, making my way back East to resume my post on Capitol Hill. I just wanted to say that it was a true pleasure working with the Independent . I know how much you guys put into this election (especially with the debate at UCSB) and I appreciated all your hard work and effort. [Editor-in-Chief] Marianne Partridge is a one-of-a-kind personality and watching her and Abel engage in a truly civil discourse made me think how entertaining it would be if the two of them were on a cable news show together. I also wanted to say that Chris Meagher was a true professional – certainly the Independent’s all-star. No question he has a bright future ahead of him, and it would not shock me to cross-paths with him someday in Washington.

This posting was amended on November 15 to correct the letter-writer’s job description. We apologize for the error.

Kurt Bardella was congressional candidate Abel Maldonado's communications director for the November 2012 elections.

Independent Discussion Guidelines

If Abel engaged in a civil discourse with Uuber Liberal Marianne Partridge of the Indy, then why could not Maldonado do the same with Lois Capps and the public instead of repeating vacuous inflammatory Tea Party talking points as the foundation of his failed campaign?
