Two Stabbed in Isla Vista Fight

No Suspects Arrested; Investigation Ongoing

Two people were stabbed at around 12:40 a.m. Sunday morning during a fight on the 6600 block of Abrego Road in Isla Vista. The victims were transported to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Three other assault victims were identified in the immediate investigation, and one of the victims reported to detectives that a Hispanic female suspect was witnessed leaving the scene of the fight. She was described in her early twenties, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, approximately 140 to 150 pounds, with black hair pulled back into a ponytail.

No suspects have been arrested at this point, said a Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Sunday afternoon, and the investigation is ongoing. Those with information on the incident or the people involved are encouraged to call the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office at (805) 681-4100 or the Isla Vista Foot Patrol at (805) 681-4179.
