Red Ribbon Week (Oct 22-31) will continue with activities and celebrations in local area schools based on the theme “The Best Me is Drug Free.”

Activities on junior high and high school campuses are coordinated by CADA’s Youth Service Specialists (YSS), who provide alcohol and drug related prevention and intervention services in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria.

Red Ribbon Week commemorates DEA Officer Enriqué Camarena, who gave his life in the battle against drug trafficking. Millions of Americans nationwide will wear red ribbons and participate in community events as a sign of their commitment to a drug and alcohol-free life.
