Santa Barbara Resident Killed in Walnut Creek

Teacher Sherry Hicks Hit By Pickup Truck


Santa Barbara resident and teacher at the Oak Grove Charter School in Los Olivos, Sherry Hicks, was killed in Walnut Creek on Saturday according to the San Jose Mercury News. Hicks, 52, had been visiting her son and his wife who was also seriously injured when a man allegedly drove his pickup truck onto the sidewalk, crashing into the family. The truck’s driver, Hossein Tabrizi, 53, had been arrested for DUI twice in 2005.
