Body on Beach Identified

Santa Barbara’s Christopher Evan Marks, 60, Was Found Dead on Thursday Morning

The man who was found dead on the beach Thursday morning near Shoreline Park has been identified by the Santa Barbara Police Department as Christopher Evan Marks, 60 years old, from Santa Barbara.

The injuries sustained are consistent with a fall from the cliffs, according to Lt. James Pfleging, and there is currently no reason to suggest foul play.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
