Nicholas Rouhas pleaded guilty last week of stealing 13 bikes worth $42,370 from his employer, Bicycle Bob’s on Hitchcock Way. He also admitted to taking small amounts of cash. The embezzlement lasted approximately three years during which Rouhas sold many of the stolen bikes on eBay. He was sentenced to 210 days in County Jail, three years of probation, and ordered to pay full restitution.

I used to work @Open Air Bicycles when I was a kid. Can't imagine how I would have stolen 13 high-end bikes with an average cost of $3,260 each!

Open Air Bicycles will write the loss off either through Insurance or through their Taxes under theft with an outcome.
