Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics’ Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Charles Fenzi, to Address SBBCollege Graduates at 2013 Commencement Ceremony.

29 graduates from SBBCollege’s Santa Barbara campus will participate in the ceremony and receive bachelor’s degrees, associate’s degrees and diplomas in the fields of business, medical assisting, medical office administration and health information technology.

“As Santa Barbara Business College celebrates another class of graduates and sends them out into Santa Barbara’s business and medical centers, we are honored to have Dr. Fenzi address our graduates as the commencement keynote speaker,” Johnston states. “As the Chief Medical Officer of one of the leading medical centers in Santa Barbara and as a successful businessman, Dr. Fenzi’s personal and professional experiences will surely motivate our graduates as they embark on their new careers in the business and medical fields.”

Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics (SBNC) is a collection of clinics that provides care to the Santa Barbara community, regardless of ability to pay, especially those uninsured and underserved. In one year, SBNC is responsible for up to 70,000 patient and health care visits in Santa Barbara County. Dr. Fenzi specializes in family medicine, and completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Stamford, CT.

SBBCollege’s Santa Barbara campus has a rich history of working with the SB Neighborhood Clinics. Staff, instructors and students have volunteered in their annual health screening fairs, and the College provides the Clinics with quality medical workers, particularly medical assistants, as work-study candidates, externs and employees. SBBCollege looks forward to this continued relationship in the future.

Celebrating its 125th anniversary, SBBCollege is located at 506 Chapala Street, on the corner of Haley and Chapala in Santa Barbara.
