Man Commits Suicide on the Mesa

Shot Himself in Parked Car on Mohawk Road

In an apparent suicide, a 37-year-old man shot himself in his parked Lexus on the Mesa Friday afternoon. He was found by police and paramedics at around noon and, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood, had been dead for at least a few hours. The car was parked in front of a residence on the 300 block of Mohawk Road, Harwood said, explaining the man had left behind a suicide note. Family members had not spoken to him since April 17. His identity has not been released.
