Garden Delivery

So as we all know, it’s Earth Day weekend. Conversations of sustainability are coloring our town. I found it to be the perfect time to submit a news brief on my organic garden bed project.

Greetings fellow Santa Barbarians. Have you ever wanted an organic, veggie garden in your back yard? Most people can agree to say “yes”, but two reservations come up. Perhaps you do not know how to install or maintain one? Perhaps you do not have the time? Either way, I have created a service that solves these problems! Garden Delivery Santa Barbara will install a raised garden bed in your yard, hassle free! There are three sizes: 4’X4’ for $349 plus tax, 4’8’ for $449 plus tax, and a 4’X8’ for $549 plus tax.

What comes with the beds, you ask?

1) A sustainably-raised, cedar lumber, raised bed

2) Organic fruit, veggie, and herb plant starts of your choice

3) Organic soil and compost mixture

4) Garden Markers

5) Email and phone support regarding how to care for your veggies.

The idea sprouted after I bicycled around the progressive, lovely Portland, OR. I noticed all the raised garden beds in every other front yard. I then thought of “Thinking Global and Acting Local.” Hence, this grass-rootsy service sprang forth. My motives are not to strike it rich. On that note, I hardly break even after all is said and done. It is apparent that awareness is rising around Mother Earth’s health. This is my passion, this is my calling; teaching people how to grow, organic food. It is so magnificent to pick your dinner and feel the gratitude and respect flow as one steps inside to rinse their harvest. Let us all dream. Let us all envision together, a town, a place where we are supporting local, organic markets and growing what we can, perhaps even in your front yards in replacement of lawns. Let us teach our children this craft, get them involved with what they will soon digest. I support local organic nurseries with a vision of someday starting all the organic starts on a sustainable slice of property. I also have set a goal to make this ALL about the community. This will be a non-profit someday. Perhaps I can travel across the country in a funky, biodiesel van and teach children how to garden with little kits.

Thank you. Cheers to new, positive changes.

Feel free to contact us and help make this dream come true.
