A Barb for a Barb

Riffing on comments that our town reacts roughly on mischievous kids just trying to act tough.

No shenanigans allowed.

We’ve got tough laws in place.

This area is quite proud

Of its beauty and grace.

If you tarnish our look,

Or tear up cherished roots,

We’ll throw our biggest book

And make you shine our boots.

Don’t prick us like a thorn

Or dangle bait from hooks,

Or fierce barbs will adorn,

Transform your (once) good looks.
