Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company is pleased to sponsor the Surfrider Foundation Santa Barbara Chapter with “Benefit Beers” every Wednesday in August, 2013. Customers at Figueroa Mountain Brewing’s pub, located at 137 Anacapa Street in Santa Barbara, can support Surfrider by ordering a beer from the Benefit Beers Tap. With every pull on this specially-designated tap, Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company will donate a very generous 50% to Surfrider’s volunteer work to protect and preserve Santa Barbara’s incomparable beaches and coast, including the Gaviota Coast – the last 20 miles of undeveloped, unprotected coastline in southern California.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company founders Jim and Jaime Dietenhofer are a father & son team with a passion for quality beer. Both businessmen and entrepreneurs, they’ve grown their companies on hard work and quality products. Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company was a dream of the Dietenhofers for some time, and they feel fortunate to provide patrons the quality that they deserve.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing has focused on producing top tier beers from day one. “We believe that success in this business like other industries starts with building a culture that is focused on always improving and never feeling complacent with mediocrity, always striving to better yourself and your business every day.”

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide.

The Santa Barbara chapter, founded in 1992, is a local, all-volunteer ocean and watershed environmental group, comprised of surfers and non-surfers alike, working on public access issues, beach clean-ups, school outreach programs, and protecting the beaches, water quality and open spaces that all Santa Barbarans love.
