I appreciate Morgan Green’s letter about the bicyclists who ride with blatant disregard for laws, stop signs, traffic lights, and other people who happen to be on the street. She expresses my concerns and frustration exactly. As a pedestrian, I am more worried about being knocked silly by a bicyclist than by any driver.

I offered my opinions on a recent online survey sent by COAST, and I think others may have done the same, so I hope they are paying attention. I also hope that the Bicycle Coalition is addressing these concerns. It should be obvious to those organizations that the promotion of bicycle ridership must include an emphasis on lawful and sensible behavior.
