Rape Suspect on the Run?

Authorities Searching for Santo Javier Guevara

Authorities are currently looking for Santo Javier Guevara, a man recently charged with rape and believed to be a fugitive.

Last week, prosecutor Benjamin Ladinig filed charges of forcible rape and aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years old, with an allegation of great bodily injury, against Guevara. The charges make Guevara eligible for a life sentence, Ladinig said.

Ladinig said the 13-year-old victim was determined to be 17 weeks pregnant after she was taken to Cottage Hospital, and Guevara is believed to be her stepfather.
