Evolutions Spa Taking Over Old Avia Space

Evolutions Medical Spa at 350 Chapala Street is expanding beyond its normal service of aesthetic touch-ups and taking over the space directly next to it, previously occupied by Avia Spa, to soon offer full day-spa treatments. Avia closed under controversial circumstances last August after its owners at the time engaged in what some employees described as nefarious if not criminal business practices. Suzanne Seed, Avia’s original founder and owner, said in a prepared statement she’s happy Evolutions is taking over the space and that its planning to hire back much of her former staff. The new Evolutions Medical Spa is scheduled to open in March.
