I’d like to express condolences to the owner of Billy, the dog that was killed by the pig hunters. Although it sounds like the dog could have been better trained for being off-leash, I don’t see where this “He got what was coming to him” attitude is justified. How could two grown men feel like their life was in danger from a 50-pound dog, and it wasn’t even a pit bull? Couldn’t the hunters have used a non-lethal means of restraining the dog, repelling him with pepper spray or something? It just seems like they were a little too trigger-happy.
