30th Space Wing “Satisfactory” in CUI
Members of the AFSPC IG team inspected the wing Jan. 22 to Feb. 01.
Using a five-tier structure, each unit had the potential to be rated either unsatisfactory, marginal, satisfactory, excellent or outstanding.
You can do your primary mission, and you do it well, said Col. Robert Skinner, AFSPC IG commander. As with any base, certain areas need to improve, but your hard work has not gone unnoticed.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the men and women on this base,” said Col. Nina Armagno, 30th Space Wing commander to. “We have a few areas to work on, but what I see in this team is outstanding: we are better, stronger, more proficient and more confident than we have ever been.”
The CUI is a biannual inspection used to measure the base’s discipline, readiness and war fighting capability through exercises, inspection and evaluations. It is conducted to assess areas mandated by law, as well as mission areas identified by senior Air Force and major command leadership as critical or important to the health and performance of a unit.
Twenty-four professional teams and 23 professional performers were identified.
