Free Public Lecture on Stress Reduction and Heart

February is Heart Health Month. You can attend a free public lecture on how to reduce stress and improve heart health through the practice of Transcendental Meditation.

The lecture is Wednesday, February 20 at 6:30 pm at the Carpinteria Library Multipurpose room, 5141 Carpinteria Avenue, Carpinteria.

New research published by the American Heart Association shows that heart attack and stroke risks can be reduced by half through the regular practice of Transcendental Meditation, a simple natural technique. According to Dr. Mehmet Oz, host of TV’s The Dr. Oz Show, TM has been found to significantly reduce blood pressure, as well as reducing cholesterol, atherosclerosis and obesity.
