The Jury looks for projects that lift the spirit, sustain natural resources and enhances the environment. AIA Santa Barbara received seventy four entries from licensed architects or firms within the SB County and or eligible AIA architects or firms from around the country. Each entry was judged on its own merit and evaluated for design resolution, contextualism and innovation. The criteria were to demonstrate exemplary skill in resolving formal, functional and technical requirements, achieve successful sensitivity and response to its surrounding community and include innovations in building materials and techniques if possible. All seventy-four submissions will be available on exhibit at the Channing Peake Gallery. Please join us for opening reception on 1st Thursday, February 7th, and for the next three consecutive 1st Thursdays for gallery design and discussions, March 7th, April 4th and May 2nd.
