Samy’s Camera Does SBIFF Demo Day

To coincide with SBIFF 2013, Samy’s Camera (614 Chapala St.; [805] 963-7269) is bringing manufacturers to town and hosting a demo day on February 2, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., featuring classes on when to use your GoPro, why you need a Canon C300, and how Hollywood cinematographers work their magic. There are also classes on audio, lighting, emergent camera technologies, and, once it’s all shot, how to make Final Cut Pro X your friend. Classes are free, but seating is limited, so registration is required. See samys.com for more details and email jegbert@samys.com to get a spot.
