Paramedics speak with the driver of the sedan after her accident with an MTD bus
Gary Pitney

A minor traffic accident between an MTD bus and a sedan Tuesday afternoon on Carrillo Street left one bus passenger complaining of back pains, but no other injuries were reported. Gary Pitney with the Santa Barbara City Fire Department said the sedan was traveling westbound on Carrillo when it tried to turn left on De La Vina Street but wound up clipping the front bumper of the bus, which was travelling eastbound. Everyone on the bus, save the one man with a reported back injury who was taken to the hospital, received a free transfer token and went on their way. The intersection was closed for a short while, and police continue to investigate the accident, Pitney said.
