Ventura Teens Star in Romeo & Juliet

Rubicon’s Fearless Shakespeare Program Kicks Off

When it comes to youth theater, few do it better than the Rubicon. And this summer, Ventura’s most acclaimed theater company kicks off its Fearless Shakespeare Program with perhaps the most well-known play of them all. This Friday, August 2-Sunday, August 4, the Rubicon’s youth program participants will present their production of Romeo & Juliet, directed by Joseph Fuqua. The story should be familiar to most: Two star-crossed teens fall hard only to find themselves pulled apart by their feuding families. The cast features an impressive roster of youngsters, too, including Nate Budrow as Romeo, Akira Dann as Juliet, Joey Santia as Mercutio, and Macaria Martinez as Montague. The Rubicon Theatre Company is located at 1006 East Main Street, Ventura. Call (805) 667-2900 or visit for tickets and info.
